A picture paints a thousand words, right? Your product main image is one of the first things your customer will see so make sure it makes an impact! Below are some tips we’ve put together to make sure your image is as effective as possible.
What is the Product Main Image?
This is the image that customers see on your product listing and details pages. In e-Commerce, it is important to ensure the picture is clear as a bad image may hinder your customer from considering or purchasing the item.
What Kind of Image Should I Use?
Your product listing will feature the main image and you can add additional images. Your standard main image should have a white background, be square and in a clear angle. Additional images should depict your product in use, close-up and at different angles that may provide more information for the customer.
What are Some Tips for an Effective Image?
1. Make sure your logo is featured clearly in the image.
2. Ensure your item is displayed largely in the image (should take up about 95% of the space).
3. Steer clear of featuring items that are not included in your offering as this may confuse customers and lead them to think that they will receive these additional items.
4. Remember all your images should be original content according to our IPR policy – that means you should not use images from other sellers or creators unless you have obtained express permission.
