What Is a Suppressed Listing?
What is a Suppressed Listing? Your product listing can be suppressed from exposure on the search results, product listing options, and various areas in Coupang because of variety of reasons, including the following:
- Bad Unit Price (BUP)
- Duplicated listings
- Incorrect options in product listing
- Incorrect search filter field
Bad Unit Price (BUP) is defined when your product’s unit price increases or stays the same compared with other Seller’s prices when the listed quantity increases. This issue potentially creates negative customer experience as Customers expect the unit price to be lower when they are purchasing higher quantity bundled products.
For example:
- 1 bottle Listing => Listing Price: KRW 2,000. Unit Price: KRW 2,000 per unit
- 2 bottle bundle Listing => Listing Price: KRW 5,000. Unit Price: KRW 2,500 per unit.
=> 2-unit Listing will be considered as a case of Bad Unit Price, and it will be suppressed.
Bad Unit Price (BUP) can occur if you do not setup your listings properly,
- Duplicating your listings.
- Using units of measurement or quantity, other than specified (ml, kg, unit, capsules etc.),
- Registering your products without required options or incorrect option value format (number + unit)
How To Identify Suppressed Listings?
Go to “Manage Prices” Tab on WING. “Exposure Suppressed Button” can be found under item winner/exposed item ID at WING > Manage Prices > Menu
How To Resolve Suppressed Listings
Three (3) types of product listing information should be confirmed or revised if the unit price is not exposed or exposed incorrectly.
- Duplicated product listing
- When you search for Product ID (PI) in the “View/Edit products” menu and you notice a duplicate registration of the same products with the same options, you should delete duplicate products or suspend them and leave only one (1) listing live.
2. Incorrect or missing Option Value
If the “Option Value”, which is required for system calculation of the unit price, is not entered or entered incorrectly, it may not be exposed to the option box. Check option of items on the “Edit” page and see if the “Option Value” at product level has been listed correctly.
For example: If you input “1 (random color)” or “3+1” in the option value field for [Quantity], in this case, the system is unable to detect the price of each unit. Therefore, please be advised that you need to input the quantity for each item correctly and choose the correct unit for the item.
3. Incorrect or missing search filter fields
Check if the search filter fields have not been entered or incorrectly entered.
In this case, you need to fill out the information such as volume, weight and quantity in the search filter which is located within the product “Edit” page.
3-1. Not entered case
For example: To fill out the search filter for each item in terms of volume/weight/tablets per unit/total quantity/total weight(g) correctly, you need to accurately enter “number and unit” together.
3-2. Mis-entered case
For example: If the field contains mixed units of measure like ‘(900mgx60tablets)54g’, it cannot be calculated correctly by the system. Please be advised to enter accurate quantities using only one unit of measure, such as ’60 tablets’, without mixing different units. Refer to the screenshots below for your reference:

Preventing Suppressed Listings
- Listings that are currently suppressed due to incorrect option values may become visible once the issue is resolved. However, if your listings are set up correctly but are still not visible, you may need to address the underlying issue by correcting the Bad Unit Price (BUP).
- We recommend optimizing your option settings and removing any duplicate listings. This will help determine if the suppressed listings are due to incorrect option settings or a Bad Unit Price (BUP).
- When setting up different quantities of your products during listing, ensure that the unit price of the higher quantity listing is lower than the unit price of the lower quantity listing.
