The Coupang Global Marketplace team recently concluded a four-day visit to the Czech Republic, focused on strengthening cross-border partnerships, exploring new sourcing opportunities, and accelerating seller acquisition across key European countries.
Throughout the visit, the team engaged with government stakeholders, leading e-commerce operators, logistics innovators, and high-potential Czech brands—highlighting the strong and growing alignment between the Czech export ecosystem and Coupang’s global marketplace.

Driving Seller Acquisition Through Strategic Partnerships
The visit kicked off with a joint e-commerce seminar hosted at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, organized in collaboration with Czech Trade and KOISRA.
The session brought together more than 30 Czech exporters interested in entering South Korea. Key topics included:
- Emerging trends in South Korea’s e-commerce landscape
- Opportunities to join Coupang’s marketplace
- Go-to-market and distribution strategies
- Practical insights for successful new region entry
The program also included curated one-on-one meetings, giving Czech brands and manufacturers the opportunity to present their products directly to Coupang and evaluate their readiness for South Korea.
Strengthening Marketplace and Ecosystem Collaboration
The team met with leading regional e-commerce operators, including Allegro, to exchange insights on regional market trends and explore potential opportunities in cross-border commerce.
These discussions emphasized the growing importance of partnerships between global marketplaces in expanding access to high-quality products and creating new opportunities for sellers across regions.

Showcasing Czech Brands and Manufacturing Excellence
As part of the visit, Coupang engaged with several leading Czech manufacturers, including EMCO, to better understand local production capabilities and identify export-ready brands.
From food manufacturing to natural cosmetics, Czech companies demonstrated strong potential to resonate with Korean consumers seeking premium, high-quality, and authentic European products.
At Manufaktura, a well-known Czech brand, the team explored opportunities to introduce heritage-driven, natural cosmetics to South Korea, where demand for clean, differentiated beauty products continues to grow.
Advancing Logistics and Operational Innovation
Logistics innovation was another key focus area during the visit.
Coupang met with leading e-commerce and logistics technology providers, including Rohlik Group and Veloq, to gain insights into advanced fulfillment technologies and discuss potential collaboration in logistics solutions.
Additional meetings with Yieldigo and Packeta Group highlighted further opportunities to explore:
- Pricing and inventory optimization trends
- Cross-border logistics and last-mile delivery solutions
These discussions are critical to enabling efficient, scalable expansion for European sellers entering South Korea.
